My GTIN is not recognised when signing up for an account

When signing up for a QR Squared account, why is my GTIN not recognised?

When you buy a new batch of GTINs from GS1 it can take up to 24 hours for their system to sync with the new GTINs. When you sign up to QR Squared we check the ownership of all GTINs to ensure the correct GTINs are in the correct accounts. So if the GS1 system is not up to date we cannot validate a newly purchased GTIN yet.

If this is the case for you, log back in the next day and try again. If the issue persists, please contact us.

There is also the rare scenario where the GS1 system is down and no GTINs can be verified with them. If this is the case, you will see an error notification in our platform and you will be advised to log back in and try again in a few hours.
