How to create a Digital Product Passport

Updated over 2 months ago

A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is one template landing page that can be used across multiple products, automatically pulling in all relevant data to the landing page for each individual product scanned by your consumers. The benefit of using our template is that you can customise it to look and feel like your brand!

Set up the landing page

  • Go to the landing page builder

  • You can either create a new landing page or edit an existing one

  • Add the ‘DPP’ module to your landing page

  • You will see the framework of the Digital Product Passport displaying on the left. No tiles are showing yet because they must be configured in the Bulk Link Editor

  • Customise the colours, text, fonts and layout so that this template looks like your brand. You can complete this step later

Set up the information tile buttons

  • Click on the Open Bulk Link Editor button (note this page can also be found via the Manage Links button in the catalogue page)

  • Click on the Add/Remove links button

  • In this modal you select the ‘tile buttons’ you want to be displayed in your Digital Product Passport. In this example we have selected Nutrition, Product info and Instructions. Click on Save changes

  • You will now see these columns have been added to the spreadsheet.

Add content behind the tile buttons

  • Add web pages (URLs) by product. When a consumer scans a QR code on one of your products connected to a Digital Product Passport, it will show the tiles you have added here that contain a valid URL

  • When the consumer clicks on the tile button it will take them to that web page

  • Note that you can have many columns in this spreadsheet, and if some of them are not relevant for all products, just leave those cells blank. Remember, the tile buttons per are configured at the product (GTIN) level.

  • Click Save changes to confirm
