Dynamic Fields

How to connect many products to one product page - the page elements will change automatically according to which QR code is scanned using dynamic fields.

What is a dynamic product page?

Use a single product page template for multiple products. This is a low maintainence option to only have to update and edit one product page, but it has the ability to connect to multiple or all of your products by using dynamic fields.

The single product page dynamically pulls in product‑specific data at the time of the consumer scan.

Rather than creating a new page for every product, the QR code passes product data into the same page, allowing you to show:

  • The correct product name or variant

  • The correct product image where you use an image link

  • Ingredients or materials for that product only

  • Batch‑specific or market‑specific information

  • Language or regional content

  • Any other custom product information field you add (known in the platform as product attributes)

This keeps your page layout consistent, and allows you to use one page template, while the content changes automatically.

When to use dynamic fields

  • If you want your core content to stay the same, but specific details vary by product (eg imagery, ingredients or product name)

  • You want to update content once and apply it across many QR codes or products

How to implement dynamic elements

  1. Open the Bulk Product Editor by clicking Bulk upload/edit button on the catalogue page as below

    • Bulk editing: in the Bulk Product Editor, you can change one, many or all of your products at the same time - see image 2). A product is represented by each row within the excel-like sheet. The information that falls within the product row will be driven to your dynamic product page.

2. Adding in product specific information:

  • In the 'More info' column you can add in any link to information that you would want to show on your product page eg YouTube link, a link to specific product assembly instructions, FAQs.

  • In the 'Product image' column you can add a link to any image you want to display on the product page. The image is seen when a user scans the QR code on your product.

👉 Catalogue page - display product image and individual changes:

    • Any image link you pasted in the Product image column in the Bulk Product Editor (step above), will also appear in the catalogue page, next to the product name - see first image above (blue line for reference).

    • Indivdual products can be edited from the catalogue: you can also edit a single product at a time on the catalogue page by clicking on the image icon. Instructions will pop up on pasting a new image link. This will still act as the dynamic link and will update in the product in Bulk Product Editor automatically.

How to use the dynamic fields in your Product Page

  1. Create your product page, edit a template or an exisiting product page (see article)

  2. Open the Dynamic tab

3. Copy across the dynamic fields to your modules in your product page eg [PRODUCT_NAME], [PRODUCT_IMG] or [MORE_INFO].

💡 Tip - you can click on the clipboard icon which automatically copies the dynamic fields (ie the text in the [square brackets])

4. The different information will feed through to the product page, depending on which product is scanned.

‼️Important - you must connect your products to your desired dynamic product page (connect your product page). The picture below can illustrate which product pages are linked to the particular product page you are editing.

'Connected to': how you can see which products are connected to which product page (see connect your product page):

Click the Manage links button (highlighted above): you can see your products connection from the the Bulk Link Editor - you can bulk change your connections from here too.

When you might want to use more than one template

A single template isn’t always the right solution. You may need multiple templates if:

  • Products have very different content structures

  • Some products require additional compliance sections

  • Different audiences need fundamentally different experiences

In these cases it may be recommended to build another product page.
