Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

How to enable or disable Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) for additional security when logging into the platform

Updated over a month ago

Why use MFA

  • We recommend enabling multi-factor authentication for added security. MFA adds an additonal layer of security by asking for a one-time verification or authentication code that you input when logging in.

  • MFA is commonly used - you likely would have seen or used MFA on other apps eg:

    • email (Gmail, Outlook)

    • signing into online banking/banking apps

    • social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Whatsapp)

    • common work tools (hubspot, teams)

How to enable MFA on QR Squared

  1. Go to settings (cog at the bottom of the navigation panel on the left) - My settings - Account Settings - Multi-Factor Authentication

2. Click Enable MFA and follow the promts to set MFA up

  • Install an authenticator app, or use any one that you already have (eg Authenticator, Keeper, Google Authenticator)

  • Scan the QR code with your app

  • Enter the validation or authentication code shown on your app

3. Click Verify & enable MFA - you will notice a success message pops up

How to disable MFA on QR Squared

  1. Click Disable MFA

2. Add in the code shown in your app that is associated to your account (ie from set up in enabling your MFA)

3. Verify code

Incorrect Code Entry

If you input the incorrect code, the validation boxes will show up in red and there will be a error message at the top right. Not to worry, simply re-enter the code (click on any of the numbers entered in the validation box and backspace/delete to clear and re-enter the code from your authentication app).

👉 note - you can click Need some help? on the pop outs that you can see in the images, this will link you through to the chat bot where you can ask for help, or to speak to someone.
